Man, I am happy but also sad that I came across this post talking about the need to start my personal statement.  Glad in that it made me actually get out and take a look at two college applications that I am planning on filling out…but, sad because it just made me realize that I have no clue what I am going to write about.  I have been sitting here on my bed trying to figure out a good topic for my essay, but every one that I think of seems to cheesy or blown out:

• The trip to Europe I took with my family last summer
• My swimming prowess
• Helping my little brother
• blah, blah, blah

So, now I have decided to procrastinate some more and write this stupid post. Nice work.
